Ceremonies and Receptions

The Great Barn at Hales Hall is licensed for Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships in conjunction with Great Yarmouth Registrars.

The main Barn can comfortably seat up to 200 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast and there is a further Gallery room upstairs suitable for drinks and canapés or as a private retreat for the bridal party.  There are 170 ‘loophole’ windows which allow shafts of sunlight to illuminate the Barn and can be lit by candles to stunning effect.

Outside is a gravelled terrace with outdoor seating and a pergola.  The beautiful gardens of Hales Hall, including established herbaceous plants and trees, topiary and a moated area with a fountain, are available to provide a stunning backdrop for your photographs.

The Great Barn houses a full width stage, a large dance floor and a fully stocked bar available throughout your event.

There are modern toilet facilities, including a baby changing area, housed in the adjacent stables.

We offer a comprehensive in-house catering facility provided by local company ‘Picnic’ and can cater for every taste. Our experience in hosting events at The Great Barn means that we can assist with every detail of your wedding and can suggest reliable, local suppliers for your every need and help coordinate your day.

If you would prefer to engage the services of a wedding planner we can work alongside them to create your perfect day. We are also happy to consider any specific catering requirements you have and recommend suitable companies.

Weekend (Fri, Sat & Sun) £4850

Mid-week (Mon-Thurs) £4850 for a mid-week event

Picnic @ Hales Hall

Our experience in hospitality and our knowledge of event planning at The Great Barn at Hales Hall means that we can offer a service to meet every requirement.

Our aim is to provide you with affordable flexibility. Our menus are individually designed to suit your personal tastes and your budget.

We use the best local and seasonal produce to ensure that you and your guests enjoy a delicious meal - from a formal wedding breakfast to a traditional buffet, from a modern fusion menu to a vintage high-tea or simply a Norfolk hog-roast!

* Hire includes exclusive use of the Barn and all facilities for 48 hours to enable you to prepare for your wedding.
